“MARK YOUR CALENDAR”
Join us for a preview of Dr. Joan Lipton’s projected new course for next season. The professional collaborations, as well as the personal relationships among key figures in the art world, will be examined.
In this preview, be prepared to enjoy such varied and exciting selected examples as Georgie O’Keefe, painter and Alfred Steiglitz, photographer; Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin, sculptors; and the Florida Highwaymen, painters. Be surprised that a highlight will be a current portraitist whose father was a prominent Palm Beach artist with a studio-gallery at the Breakers Hotel. You may even know some of his famous subjects of royalty, clergy, business executives and people who wintered on the island.
Many slides will be presented to provide an extenxive repertoire of all the artist’ masterpieces.
DATE: Wednesday, April 30 at 2:00-4:15 and 6:00-8:15. $10.00; no charge for Four Arts members.

I am adding to the “MARK YOUR CALENDAR” accouncement that you see below. The highlighted artist of the talk will be my own father, Cavalier Frederick Roscher, who was the noted Palm Beach portraitist from 1925 until his death in 1968. I will join Dr. Lipton to discuss interesting and amusing facts about him as we show a variety of slides of his paintings, and I believe that you would enjoy sharing this experience with us.
